The Kailash Heli Yatra offered by Kailashtreks.com is one of the shortest and most reliable pilgrimage routes to the sacred Abode of Lord Shiva. Pilgrims can conveniently start their journey from Kathmandu, Nepal, or Lucknow, India, after performing a pre-yatra puja at the holy Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. This specially designed route includes a scheduled flight from Nepalgunj to Simikot, followed by a chartered helicopter from Simikot to Hilsa, ensuring a faster and smoother travel experience.
As the Simikot–Hilsa corridor is prone to weather delays, securing the essential restricted area permit in advance is crucial. Fishtail Tours & Travels pioneered this route in 2001 using a 24-seater MI-17 Russian helicopter and continues to operate the yatra with professionalism, safety, and deep spiritual commitment. Due to the growing demand for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, all devotees are encouraged to book early and experience a seamless and spiritually enriching journey with Fishtail Tours & Travels.

Holy Mt. Kailash and Mansarovar Lake are revered as the spiritual center of creation, worshipped for thousands of years by sages, saints, philosophers, and devotees. Considered the cosmic axis and known by many divine names—Meru, Sumeru, Sushumna, Hemadri, Jewel Peak, Lotus Mountain, and Deva Parvatha—Mt. Kailash is believed to be self-created (Swayambhu) and the source from which all creation emerges and ultimately returns. As the sacred abode of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Kailash symbolizes the union of Purusha and Prakriti, Shiva and Shakti, radiating truth, wisdom, and bliss. Scriptures describe that those who take a holy dip in Mansarovar Lake and perform the Kailash Parikrama are freed from lifetimes of sins and attain union with the Supreme, achieving liberation beyond rebirth.
This divine region holds immense significance not only for Hindus but also for Buddhists, who worship Mt. Kailash as Kang Rinpoche and Mansarovar as Tso Mapham. Buddhists revere the deity Demchok (a powerful form of Buddha) on Kailash’s summit, and legends of Guru Rinpoche and Milarepa add deep spiritual meaning to the pilgrimage. The sacred sites of Dolma La Pass (Dolma Devi) and Gauri Kund (Thuki Zingbu) are considered equally holy by both traditions. With its profound symbolism, cosmic energy, and ancient religious importance, Kailash Mansarovar remains one of the most powerful and transformative pilgrimage destinations on earth.
